Its structure is opposite of inner rotor gearless permanent magnet synchronous traction machine, i.e., rotor is outside of stator coil. The axial direction length of outer rotor traction machine is short and can satisfy special request for machine-roomless elevator. The machine is small and saves in primary material. But, this traction machine can not bear large shaft load because of its small radial dimension of shaft. Therefore, outer rotor structure is adopted generally by elevator whose load is bellow 1150kg and speed is bellow 2.0m/s.
